Limited Warranty

At UnderTheSun Canopies, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of every canopy we sell. Manufactured using top-tier materials, our covers are built to protect your investment and enhance your waterfront for years to come.

Depending on the selected fabric, we offer a 5-year or 7-year limited warranty on material and workmanship under normal use, effective from the date of shipment.

Warranty Coverage (Pro-Rated)

Shelter-Rite® 18oz or SLT Shelter-Rite® 13oz Fabrics:

  • Years 1–3: 100% covered
  • Year 4: 60% covered
  • Year 5: 40% covered
  • Year 6: 20% covered
  • Year 7: 15% covered

HarborTime™, WeatherMax™, or similar 5-Year Fabrics:

  • Years 1–2: 100% covered
  • Year 3: 60% covered
  • Year 4: 30% covered
  • Year 5: 15% covered

Warranty claims must be submitted in writing with a copy of your original invoice. UnderTheSun Canopies reserves the right to request inspection photos or physical return of the canopy for review.

Not Covered:

  • Improper installation or canopy frame distortion
  • Wind whip on extended valances (e.g., 36” ShoreStation valance)
  • Acts of God (e.g., windstorms, hail, floods, lightning)
  • Damage from chemicals, rodents, or vandalism
  • Natural fading from sun exposure
  • Damage due to neglect or misuse
  • Custom or made-to-order canopies are not returnable and are not covered under warranty

Returns & Exchanges

Unused products may be returned within 30 calendar days of your order date. Items must be in original packaging and unused condition. Custom or made-to-order canopies are non-returnable.

Restocking Fees

  • Unused returns: 15% restocking fee
  • Opened/used items: Up to 50% fee, depending on condition
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable and return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer

We recommend insuring your return shipment. UnderTheSun Canopies is not liable for damage during return transit.

How to File a Warranty or Return Claim

To begin a return or warranty claim:

  1. Email us with:
    • Order number
    • Description of the issue
    • Photos of the canopy in question
  2.  
  3. Claims must be submitted within the applicable warranty or return window.
